Don's botanical interpretation of intimacy was displayed at the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia in Athens, GA, Fall 2009.
The shows fundamental question was "What is intimacy"? It was interpreting the answer though the use of photography primarily taken at the Botanical Garden and their titles. The titles led the viewer through the vivid color and low key B&W photography, all printed on Don's favorite medium, canvas.
Don says of the theme, "Intimacy happens. Intimacy happens between people...whether they are lovers, parents, close friends, even co-workers. Intimacy is current, anticipated, and worn out, but not forgotten. Intimacy is emotion. It is bright and passionate, it is quiet and beautiful, it can also be dark and foreboding. This show is a botanical exploration of intimacy".
